2022 Managing COVID Factsheet
For the safety of our students and staff we are following the latest heath advice. Please find the Back to School Managing COVID Factsheet HERE. This shows how we will work together to keep our students, staff and school community safe.
As you will be aware, public health and social measures are in effect for the Perth and Peel (including Rottnest Island) and South West regions, details at wa.gov.au. This includes the requirement for masks to be worn while indoors at school in these regions (see factsheet for further details).

Remote Learning Plan
At Applecross Primary school we are prepared for the potential situation of a school closure. Should schools be closed for a period of time, under the advice from the Department of Education, we may commence a period of Remote Learning. Please be assured that the wellbeing of students, families, teachers and the community will always remain our priority should this occur. We will strive to keep connection between teachers, students and the community through the Skoolbag app and Connect.
Teachers will provide learning opportunities for students through the Connect app. This learning will provide ongoing access to the curriculum for all students and be planned with the best available resources to ensure ongoing quality of learning. Remote learning will cover key subject areas and families should choose to complete these tasks over the period of a week in a way that best suits their family situation, working from home and their own children.
Admin Staff and Teachers will be contactable by email and will work to maintain positive and respectful relationships between our school and community during these times. Teacher wellbeing is also of upmost importance and we will support teachers to deliver learning whilst rationalising their workload and managing a new and unfamiliar learning scenario.
In the event of a Remote Learning situation, you may like to consider;
- Setting up a home learning space at home
- Having a routine for your child or children to work towards at home to keep some aspect of normality
- Considering access to devices that may be needed for learning experiences or to access Connect
In the event of a school or class closure a Skoolbag App message will go to all parents, with more specific details of remote learning plans on the classroom Connect page.
