Purple Dress Up Day – Friday, 24 September*

Friday, 24 September is the IGA Purple Bra Day (and the school’s “Purple Dress Up Day”) and children can come dressed to school in anything purple (socks, shorts, t-shirt, dress, headband, bow or whatever they like!) and are requested to make a gold coin donation which will go to the Purple Bra Day fundraiser.

IGA Purple Bra Day is Breast Cancer Care WA’s largest annual fundraiser.  Funds raised allow the organisation to continue to provide specialist breast care nursing, counselling and financial and practical support to all West Australians diagnosed with breast cancer and their families.

This cause is especially close to our hearts this year.  Kate Petersen, a P&C member for 8 years, was diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago after a routine 2 yearly mammogram.  While Kate is undergoing her cancer treatment, we wish to honour her significant contribution to the school and raise money for this important cause by dressing up in purple and donating to Purple Bra Day.

If you would like to read more about Kate’s journey or make an online contribution to the Purple Bra Day fundraiser, you can go to Kate’s fundraising page at https://www.purplebraday.com.au/kate-petersen.
