Learning at Home
Some parents have chosen the Learning at Home option in response to the coronavirus situation. We caution that the most important focus for children in this position should be their health and well-being. Developing a schedule that maintains a positive, productive, active and engaged day is vital. A schedule also helps to balance out school work, play time and screen time. In this unusual time, a formalised education schedule is not recommended. Rather, choose a range of activities including household tasks and learning new skills. Learning at Home can provide valuable opportunities to see learning applied to real-life.
The following list includes websites, apps and documents selected by our teachers for you to try. Some websites offer a trial period, some are offering free subscription for a period and others are free. Some offer online student learning, others provide activity ideas for off-screen learning. Some are subject related and some are real-life or play-based.
